Vision statement
Believing in God’s Word and Spirit
It is the goal of our teen ministries to help families develop a spiritual foundation that equips a Christ-like lifestyle into their children. Our vision for the youth ministry is to develop a community of young people who are experiencing the joy of a relationship with God, who recognize God’s purpose for their lives, and who seek to know God more. We desire our youth to make Him known to others while simultaneously building healthy friendships and experiencing meaningful fellowship. In general, we desire our youth ministries to enhance what parents are doing at home, but not entirely replace it. We will provide a regular evaluation to ensure that our primary focus is achieved.
To be an extension ministry of the church committed to equip and challenge our young people to be living examples of the Great Commandment and Great Commission
Raising our Youths Through Christ
Too often when teaching teens in today’s culture, churches focus more on entertainment and holding their attention than on the presentation of strong, biblical truth and application. Our mission is to make your child a disciple of Jesus Christ. In order to accomplish this goal there are five areas that we will continually emphasize:
Conforming to the image of Christ should be the goal of every Christian. The compassion and zeal Christ had for the lost is an example that will not only be preached, but also practiced by our youth ministry.
Our primary focus is to make disciples. We will provide the necessary resources for our youth to “Go” into the world and teach others. We believe that youth missions are a critical component of our goal to develop our youth into reflections of Christ who will transform their homes, their schools, their churches, their workplaces, and their worlds for Christ.
The youth will be taught that dedicating one’s life to God and letting Christ control every aspect of their life is essential for finding God’s will for their life. Because Christ so willingly gave His life for us, how much more should we desire to present our bodies a living sacrifice for Him?
If a teen has the right view of themselves as a servant, then they are going to start reaching and affecting other people’s lives. We will give our young people many opportunities to serve in the church as well as the community.

PURPOSE
We desire to build unity among the youth. Jesus said that people would know you are my disciples by your love for one another. God not only wants us to connect with Him, but also with our peers. We do this by giving special time for fellowship at all our gatherings.
We desire to know Jesus in a deep, personal way. Because we believe all that the Bible says about God’s love for us, we want to love Him back by worshiping Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.
We desire to stay strong in this new relationship with Jesus by studying His Word verse by verse. The Bible is God’s love letter to us and it teaches us how to live a life that is pleasing to Him
David was a young boy when God used him to defeat the giant Goliath. When no other man would stand against the Philistine, God chose to use a young man to honor His name and defend the nation of Israel. In I Samuel 17:29, David says “is there not a cause” to live and honor the Lord with my life. David realized that even though he was “but a youth,” God could use anyone if fully surrendered to Him. David was willing to honor God with his life regardless of the outcome or circumstances. Our goal and my prayer is that God will rise up a ministry of young people that will exercise the kind of faith David displayed against Goliath and that God will produce Christ-like young men and women fully surrendered to Him.
