Why we give:

This prayer of generosity is one that we say together each week at COKC. These words are why we choose to give. Our prayer is to be formed by the practice of generosity in following the way of Jesus.

All that we have we have received from god. We bring nothing into this world and we take nothing out of it, to spend everything on ourselves is the way of the world.

We choose to follow the way of Jesus that resists selfishness and greed, as both plunge our hearts to ruin. We choose to be faithful stewards of all our resources: relationships, time, possessions, and money. We choose to increase in generosity until it can be said, “there is no one in need among us.”

We choose to be generous because our father is generous, and as his daughters and sons we want to show the world what he is like.

Budget & Finances

Knowing that God wants us to be faithful and generous givers, we counsel, guide, and direct our church in the management of finances. Our elders review and analyze monthly financial statements to direct the mission of our church, stewarding well the resources given to the church by our people.

Each year, an annual budget is presented to the church body for review, analysis, questions and approval. The operating budget is fundamental to our accountability, transparency and integrity.

Financial Statements
An independent certified public accounting firm performs an annual audit of our finances. Here we provide annual audits for the past three years, as well as our current, unaudited financial statement.
